Recruiting the humans who train AI.
Scale AI's Outlier brand needed motion that explained a complex platform to the right people, built inside their own design system. We scripted it, animated it, and delivered it in the formats their paid social needed.

Motion Design
Outlier had a sharp pitch and a platform that's hard to show.
Outlier is how Scale AI recruits the people who train its AI models. PhDs, coders, voice actors, writers. The promise is clean: get paid to teach AI what good looks like. But the platform has a lot under the hood, and reaching skilled professionals takes more than a feature list. They had a Figma design system and a clear brand. What they didn't have was a way to turn it into motion.
Script first, then motion.
We started with the words, not the animation. Several hook directions, then we locked the one that landed: become the expert AI learns from. From there we translated their Figma frames into motion. Kinetic text, animated UI, the gradient movement their brand leans on, paced to feel confident instead of frantic. It was built to their design system so it read as Outlier, not a generic explainer, and delivered in the aspect ratios their paid social needed.
A project that can become modular
One film was the deliverable. The pieces inside it don't have to stay there. Motion built from their design system and delivered across formats breaks down into parts that can be reused: the kinetic text, the animated UI, the transitions.
Outlier asked for exactly that. After handoff they requested the editable source files so they could reuse the pieces in a few other places, like education materials, emails, and their editing team. A video like this that can keep working past its first delivery.
